This was an earlier test. The blue dots you see are disappearing fabric marker. The goal was to hoop the fabric so that the embroidery pattern would be at the center of the marks. It takes a few tries to get everything oriented and aligned but it can be done. You’ll have to give yourself a wide margin of error as fabric tends to stretch and compress as you sew it. Fixing up the wonky geometry of this model I found online before it can be 3d printed. Blender works really well as a mesh editor.
