Nokia, Linux, and ARM, oh my!:

Nokia is hinting that it may further crowd the already-packed netbook space by becoming the first phone maker to jump in. If the Finnish maker of stylish smartphones does make a netbook, it could differentiate itself and make a splash by using ARM and mobile Linux.

NVIDIA locks ARMs with the GPU

NVIDIA has announced a $99 hardware platform for MIDs centered around its Tegra 600 series chip, which pairs a small GeForce GPU with an ARM11 core on the same die. Meanwhile, ARM has been talking up the quad-core version of its upcoming Cortex A9 chip, but there’s no guarantee that ARM can make it work with four cores.
